A 2,500-tonne offshore wind farm installation platform was delivered for use in east China's Jiangsu Province on Tuesday.
The Haifeng 1001 platform has a crane with a lifting capacity of 2,500 tonnes. With the strongest lifting capacity and the deepest operating water depth in China, it will serve large-scale hoisting operations and construction of wind farms in deep and remote seas.
The platform is 133.8 meters long and 50 meters wide, and is designed with a self-sustaining capacity of 45 days and a cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles.
It can transport and install two sets of 20-megawatt wind turbines at one go, with a maximum operating water depth of 70 meters.
Also delivered on the same day was a 1,800-tonne platform, Haifeng 1002.
Equipped with a digital management system, the two platforms can achieve digital monitoring, provide intelligent data analysis and detect faults remotely.
