Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup Neta Auto has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CATL on October 7th. The agreement aims to deepen their cooperation in various aspects of the market business, including new project and technology collaboration, supply of Shenxing batteries, and expansion of overseas business.
Zhang Yong, co-founder and CEO of Neta Auto, emphasized the importance of going global for the further development of new energy vehicle companies. He believes that building long-term strategic partnerships and deepening cooperation with CATL will help both parties achieve greater breakthroughs in overseas markets.
In January 11th, Neta Auto signed a contract with CATL’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Times Intelligent, for the CIIC (CATL Integrated Intelligent Chassis) integrated intelligent chassis project. The collaboration aims to develop the first model equipped with CIIC, which is expected to be unveiled by the end of 2024.
The strategic agreement between Neta Auto and CATL was officially signed on November 9, 2021. As part of the agreement, CATL strategically invested in Neta Auto during its Series D2 financing and initiated comprehensive cooperation in technology research and development, as well as supply chain assurance.
In terms of delivery performance, Neta Auto announced that it achieved a total delivery volume of 13,211 units across all models in September. Furthermore, it has managed to exceed cumulative sales of 10,000 units in Thailand.
