During COP29,China Energy Overseas Investment Co.,Ltd.(China Energy)won three solar PV projects with a total installed capacity of 591MW.
On 12 November,China Energy and Samruk Energy signed a joint implementation agreement for a 300MW PV project in Turkestan,Kazakhstan.
The Turkestan 300MW PV project is located in the Sauran district in the northern part of Turkestan oblast,approximately 30 kilometres from the city of Zimkent,and covers an area of approximately 800 hectares.The project is designed to have a capacity of 300MWac(360MWp),with 90MW/360MWh of energy storage and associated substations and transmission lines,with an average annual generation of approximately 660 million kWh.Construction is expected to start in late 2025 and be completed within 15 months.
On 13 November,China Energy signed an EPC TS agreement with Masdar for the 131 MW PV project in Rustavi,Georgia.The project is located in the Rustavi region of Georgia and is expected to commence construction in March 2025.
On 14 November,China Energy,the Azerbaijan Ministry of Energy and the Green Energy Company of Azerbaijan State Oil Group signed a tripartite agreement to implement a 160MW PV investment project in Fizuli,Azerbaijan,which is rich in wind,solar and other renewable energy resources.The Fizuli PV project is located in the southern region of Azerbaijan,with a design capacity of 160MWac.
