On June 3,State Grid Henan Electric Power Company released the charging situation of new-energy vehicles operated by State Grid in Henan during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday(May 31 to June 2).Data shows that the province's charging network operated smoothly overall,with an increase in the utilization efficiency of charging piles.The total charging volume reached 1.2396 million kWh;the average daily charging volume was 413,200 kWh,a year-on-year increase of 7.41%compared with the Dragon Boat Festival holiday last year;the charging volume on May 31 reached a peak of 437,000 kWh,1.3 times that of normal days.
Henan boasts a superior transportation location and a well-developed highway network.In recent years,State Grid Henan Electric Power Company has focused on building a"Green Travel Escort Project"to achieve full coverage of charging stations on expressways in the province.It has continuously optimized the configuration of charging facilities in counties and below,successively completed the construction of the"Hundred Stations Project"for new-energy vehicle charging stations,and achieved the presence of new-energy vehicle charging stations in all counties of the province.A total of 699 urban public charging stations and 5,261 charging piles have been built in the province,487 charging stations and 1,956 charging piles have been built in expressway service areas,and 700 charging facilities and 4,146 charging piles have been built in townships,effectively meeting the charging needs of new-energy vehicle travel for people returning home and traveling inside and outside the province during daily and holiday periods.
During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday,the charging demand on expressways and tourist attractions increased.State Grid Henan Electric Power Company promptly optimized the power grid operation mode to ensure sufficient power supply capacity.It comprehensively inspected the power supply lines of charging stations and charging facilities owned by State Grid Henan Electric Power Company in advance to eliminate safety hazards and faults.It established a charging service support team,stocked emergency supplies such as charging modules,deployed emergency rescue vehicles and charging cards,and compiled and released a highway travel guide to help customers to charge off-peak and travel safely.
Luoyang is rich in cultural and tourism resources and is a popular destination during holidays.In response to the significant increase in charging demand for new-energy vehicles in service areas such as the Luoyang-Lushi Expressway,State Grid Luoyang Electric Power Supply Company used smart monitoring terminals in transformer areas to monitor the power consumption of charging stations in real time.The company also established a joint operation and maintenance team with hot-spot service areas such as Guxian Service Area to guide customers to charge scientifically and use fast charging efficiently,and it dispatched over 500,000 kWh of green power from photovoltaic,wind,and hydropower along the expressway to further improve the power supply capacity of charging stations and ensure charging demand.
