1. On August 30, SANY Renewable Energy (SH: 688349) released its 2023 semi-annual report. In the first half of the year, it achieved an operating income of CNY 3.915 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 4.12%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was CNY 817 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.38%.
2. On August 30, Mingyang Smart Energy (SH: 601615) released its semi-annual report for 2023. In the first half of the year, its operating income was CNY 10.559 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 25.84%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was CNY 654 million, a year-on-year decrease of 73.28%.

4. Chinese wind power equipment maker Dajin Heavy Industry announced that it has already delivered half of the order for the Moray West offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom. With a maximum diameter of 10 meters and a plate sickness of 115 millimeters, the standalone piles Dajin is supplying to the Moray West project are among the biggest of their kind in the world, the company noted.

JA Solar Technology, the world's second-biggest photovoltaic module supplier, almost tripled its net profit in the first six months of this year from a year ago as shipments surged to a record high. Net profit jumped to CNY4.8 billion (USD662.8 million), the Shanghai-based solar panel maker said in its interim earnings report yesterday.
