1. According to LONGi's official information, LONGi Hydrogen recently signed a purchase contract with an Indian company for water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment. This is the first time LONGi Hydrogen has signed an overseas customer.
2. Five new Chinese-made electric buses were rolled out in Nicosia, Cyprus on Tuesday to offer cleaner, greener transit options. The single-deck vehicles spanning 12m in length can run all day on a single charge with 85 passengers and support 5G internet connectivity.
3. S&P Global Ratings estimates that Sungrow was ranked the NO.1 PV inverter supplier globally in shipment terms in 2022 with 77GWac of PV inverters shipped. With its market-leading position, Sungrow has contributed significantly to the green energy transition in over 150 countries.
4. HiTHIUM located in S China's Xiamen has completed its Series C financing recently, with total financing of over RMB 4.5 billion. HiTHIUM manufactures top-quality stationary energy storage products for leading large-scale energy project developers as well as commercial and industrial customers.
5. China's BYD on Tuesday said it will invest 3 billion reais ($620.17 million) in a new industrial complex in northeastern Brazil, as it aims to boost local production to offer more competitive prices. The complex, made up of three plants, will be built in the Camacari industrial park in the northeastern state of Bahia, on land formerly occupied by a Ford (F.N) plant that closed in 2021.
6. CATL's market share in the global electric vehicle battery industry rose from 35.9% in April to 36.3% at the end of May. BYD (16.1%), LG New Energy (13.9%) ) ranked second and third respectively, according to South Korean market research organization SNE Research.
7. On July 4, Wu Kai, the chief scientist of CATL, and his team were awarded the European Inventor Award 2023 for the "Non-EPO countries" category for their contributions to lithium-ion battery safety at an award ceremony held in Valencia, Spain.
8. CNOOC's first land-based centralized photovoltaic power generation project in NW China's Hezuo City, Gannan, Gansu Province was connected to the grid for power generation on July 5, according to Cailian Press. The project has a total installed capacity of 40 MW and is equipped with 6 MW/12 MWh energy storage facilities, which can save over 20,000 tons of standard coal per year.
9. Risen Energy, a member of Solar Module Super League and a China-based world-leading new energy enterprise, will supply around 1GW of its heterojunction technology (HJT) solar modules to Singaporean independent power producer Athein Holding Pte.
10. A record high! From January to June 2023, Xinjiang's newly installed capacity of new energy reached 7.017 million kilowatts, which is 10.5 times that of the same period in 2022. Among them, the installed capacity of wind power is 3.635 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity of photovoltaic power is 3.382 million kilowatts, according to the State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power.
