1. The world's 1st 500 kV AC offshore booster station has officially started electricity transmission in waters off Yangjiang, S China's Guangdong. The 1,000-MW station, weighing 6,450 tonnes as the world's largest, can help transmit 3.6 billion kWh of green energy to the grid per year.
2. China's northeast region, the country's oldest industrial base, launched its 1st charging & battery-swap station for electric container trucks at Jinzhou Port Wed. The station can save users 4,160 tonnes of diesel per year, equivalent to reducing CO2 emissions by 14,910.4 tonnes.
3. Tesla said yesterday it's recalling more than two million vehicles sold in the US, after an investigation found its autopilot safety system was "not sufficient to prevent driver misuse." The recall includes the 2012-2023 ModelS, 2016-2023 ModelX, 2017-2023 Model3, and 2020-2023 ModelY.
4. As of December 11, more than 20 automakers have joined the price-cutting promotion campaign, including popular brands such as BYD, SAIC Volkswagen, FAW Toyota, Changan Auto, Volvo, and Leap Motors. The highest discount offered is close to 200,000 yuan.

The PIF, which manages nearly USD600 billion in assets, is expanding its international investments after opening an office in Hong Kong last year, Shanghai Securities News reported today, citing Chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan talking at a summit held in the special administrative region recently.
7. PetroChina said today the annual natural gas output at its unit Southwest Oil and Gasfield reached a record of 40 billion cubic meters, accounting for about 20 percent of China's natural gas production this year.
8. Li Auto today became the first Chinese NEV startup to deliver 600,000 vehicles, achieving the milestone in only four years, Li Auto said today. The record-breaking car was a six-seated SUV L9, which was delivered in Beijing.
