More than 100 countries at the COP28 climate summit in Dubai last year agreed to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030.
3. China's 1st floating solar power station in a high-salinity, highly-mineralized mine water area was recently put into full operation in NW China's Ningxia. The 23-MW project can generate over 32 million kWh of green power annually, cutting CO2 emissions by about 27,000 tonnes.
4. The Vetro Wind Power Project in Serbia is the first new energy project invested by Chinese enterprises in the country. The project, undertaken by China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) with a total investment of approximately 497 million euros ($546.7million), will have an installed capacity of 300MW and is expected to generate 774 million kWh of electricity annually, contributing to the country's 2050 carbon neutrality goal.
5. LONGi has set a new world record of 27.3% for the efficiency of crystalline silicon HBC (Heterojunction Back Contact) solar cells, certified by the Institute for Solar Energy Research Hamelin (ISFH) in Germany. The HBC cell was independently developed by LONGi. This is a new world record for monocrystalline silicon solar cells.
