1. Chinese NEV maker NIO will introduce affordable models to cover a larger share of the market in the future, according to the startup founder Li Bin. He said that smart electric cars of different price points can share more technologies than traditional gas-powered automobiles so high-end applications can be used in more affordable models later.
2. Chinese JA Solar announced the completion of the shipment of all the n-type PV modules to ACWAPower's 240MW n-type PV project in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
3. China's 100,000-mt deep-water semi-submersible oil production & storage facility Deep Sea No.1 has completed its 1st-ever condensate oil tank cleaning & inspection operation since commencing operations in 2021, proving its reliability and advancement with good inspection results.

Leading Chinese solar silicon supplier Tongwei announced yesterday that it plans to invest CNY28 billion (USD3.9 billion) to expand its production capacity despite the photovoltaic industry's overcapacity. Tongwei will build a new silicon plant in Ordos, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, a Chinese provincial-level region rich in raw materials and energy resources.
6. A photovoltaic project with a power generation capacity of 900 MW went into operation on Sunday in NW China's Qinghai Province. It is the second-phase project for an ultra-high-voltage power line that transmits electricity from Qinghai to central China's Henan Province, according to China Three Gorges Corporation.
7. According to data from the Saudi General Bureau of Statistics today, in October 2023, Saudi Arabia's merchandise exports fell by 17.4% year-on-year. The value of oil exports in October fell by 18.3% YoY, and non-oil exports (including re-exports) fell by 13.9% YoY. Saudi merchandise imports increased by 11.5% to 7.6 billion riyals.
