1. Geely Automobile's high-end electric vehicle brand Zeekr announced that it has reached a cooperation agreement with the Autohub Group of the Philippines. It is expected that the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X models will be pre-sold and delivered locally, starting in the second quarter of this year.

The European Commission will start customs registration of Chinese electric vehicle imports on Thursday, meaning they could be hit by tariffs from that point if the EU's trade investigation later concludes that they are receiving unfair subsidies. The Commission is carrying out an anti-subsidy investigation into Chinese battery EVs to determine whether to impose tariffs to protect EU producers. The probe is due to conclude by November, although the EU could impose provisional duties in July, Reuters reported today.
7. The 1st unit of the Yangqu hydropower station in NW China's Qinghai has entered final assembly phase of its turbine after the 6.37-m-diameter runner was hoisted successfully on Tue. The 114-tonne runner, being heart of the turbine, is a core component for producing electricity.

Pumped storage technology is currently the most advanced energy storage technology, with the lowest cost of electricity.
