1. Swedish automaker Volvo Cars scrapped its target of going all electric by 2030 on Wednesday, saying it now expected to still be offering some hybrid models in its lineup at that time. Nio Power, the EV maker's energy arm, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Suzhou Energy Group today, according to a statement by Nio. The two companies will work together on charging and battery swap network construction, virtual power plant construction and operation, and the creation of zero-carbon stations, the statement said.
10. Tesla has refuted rumors that CEO Elon Musk spent USD150 million buying a penthouse in Beijing’s Chaoyang district, Beijing Youth Daily reported today. A staff member at the real estate agency told National Business Daily that they do not disclose information about buyers.
