1. China's first 10,000-tonne photovoltaic green hydrogen facility has begun producing green hydrogen in northwest China, its operator said Friday. The project can produce 20,000 tonnes of hydrogen per year, cutting CO2 emissions by 485,000 tonnes annually.
2. SAIC Motors sold 86,000 new energy passenger vehicles in June, a jump of 13.1% from the previous month, China’s largest auto manufacturer said today. Sales of NEVs soared 61.9% in the second quarter from the previous quarter to over 230,000 units.
3. China's first 500kW hydrogen fuel cell-powered ship, Sanxia Qingzhou 1, was successfully sent to a port in Yichang, central China's Hubei Province, to conduct debugging and experiments. The 49.9-m-long vessel is expected to make its maiden voyage by the end of July.
4. Indian refiners have begun paying for some oil imports from Russia in Chinese yuan, sources with direct knowledge of the matter said, according to Reuters. Indian Oil Corp, the country's biggest buyer of Russian crude oil, became the first state refiner to pay for some Russian purchases in yuan. At least two of India's three private refiners are also paying for some Russian imports in yuan, sources familiar with the matter said.
5. TCL Zhonghuan Renewable Energy Technology Co., Ltd. announced on July 4 that the fund raising this time will not exceed RMB 13.8 million, which will be invested in two projects: the annual production of 35GW High-Purity Solar Ultra-Thin Monocrystalline Silicon Wafer Smart Factory Project, and the 25GWN TOPCon High Efficiency Solar Cell Industry 4.0 Smart Factory Project.
6. On June 27, the 100MW/200MW hour decentralized control grid type independent energy storage power station independently developed by China Huaneng achieved full capacity grid connection at Shandong Laiwu Power Plant, marking the official operation of the world's first 100MW level decentralized control grid type independent energy storage power station.
7. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement on June 30 that in response to the application submitted by the Indian company Vishakha Metals Private Limited, initiating an anti-dumping investigation on aluminum frames for solar panels/modules originating in or imported from China, according to CHINA TRADE REMEDIES INFORMATION on Tuesday.

9. China hits production milestone of 20 million new energy vehicles! On July 3, the momentous production of the 20 millionth NEV in China was marked with an event in Guangzhou. The significant vehicle is a Hyper GT all-electric car from GAC AION’s premium auto sub-brand Hyper. The model officially hit the market on the same day.
10. Shares of leading Chinese gallium and germanium producers jumped. China will impose export restrictions on some industrial products and materials containing gallium and germanium from Aug 1, 2023, the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs announced on Monday.
