2. According to Mingyang Smart Energy, its MySE 16-260 offshore wind turbine has been commissioned and is operating at full capacity in China. The company now overtook Goldwind in having the biggest wind turbine in the world installed as Mingyang’s compatriot’s 16 MW model has a rotor diameter of 252 meters.
3. China has unveiled the world's first ammonia-hydrogen hybrid power fuel supply system after an internal combustion engine (ICE) using the system completed the ignition test in central China's Hunan recently, marking a breakthrough in zero-carbon technology.
4. According to the National Energy Administration of China, as of the end of June 2023, China's: Total installed capacity of renewable energy power generation exceeded 1.3 bln kW, reaching 1.322 bln kW, up 18.2% YoY, accounting for 48.8% of China's total installed capacity; The installed capacity of hydropower is 418 mln kW; The installed capacity of wind power is 390 mln kW; The installed capacity of solar power is 471 mln kW; The installed capacity of biomass power generation is 43 mln kW.
5. From Jan. to Jun. 2023, the newly installed capacity of renewable energy power generation was 109 mln kW, accounting for 77% of China's newly installed capacity. Among them, the newly installed capacity of hydropower was 5.36 mln kW, the newly installed capacity of wind power was 22.99 mln kW, the newly installed capacity of solar power was 78.42 mln kW, and the newly installed capacity of biomass power generation was 1.76 mln kW, according to China's National Energy Administration.

China's renewable energy power generation has reached 1.34 trillion kWh, of which hydropower generation is 516.6 bln kWh, wind power generation is 462.8 bln kWh, photovoltaic power generation is 266.3 bln kWh, and biomass power generation is 98.4 bln kWh, according to China's National Energy Administration.
7. From Jan. to Jun. 2023, China's major power generation companies completed an investment of RMB 331.9 bln in power projects, up 53.8% YoY. Among them, solar power investment was RMB 134.9 bln, up 113.6% YoY; wind power investment was RMB 76.1 bln, up 34.3% YoY; nuclear power investment was 35.9 bln, up 56.1% YoY. Power grid projects completed an investment of RMB 205.4 bln, up 7.8% YoY, according to China's National Energy Administration.
8. In 2023H1, China's newly installed photovoltaic capacity was 78.42GW, a year-on-year increase of 154%. The China Photovoltaic Industry Association has raised its forecast for newly installed capacity of global photovoltaic in 2023 from 280GW-330GW to 305GW-350GW, and has raised its forecast for newly installed capacity of China's photovoltaic from 95GW-120GW to 120GW-140GW, said Wang Bohua, honorary chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association on Thursday.
9. In 2023H1, the total export volume of China's photovoltaic products (silicon wafers, cells, modules) exceeded USD 29 bln, up 13% YoY. Exports of silicon wafers and cells has increased, while that of modules has decreased, said Wang Bohua, honorary chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association on Thursday.
10. China's invention patent authorization in the field of electrochemical energy storage accounts for 44.9% of the global total, Ge Shu, director of the Strategic Planning Department of the State Intellectual Property Office of China, said on July 18.
11. In the first half of 2023, Sinopec's crude oil production was 139.68 million barrels, the preliminary data of natural gas production was 660.88 billion cubic feet, and the crude oil processing volume was 126.54 million tons, according to Sinopec's latest performance forecast on Thursday.
