1. Elon Musk, the world's richest man, is being sued by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, which is trying to compel him to testify as part of a probe into his $44 billion takeover of Twitter, now called X, according to People's Daily citing a court filing. Musk refused to cooperate that the SEC is now asking the courts to step in.
2. Malaysia and the UAE have agreed to jointly establish a renewable energy capacity of 10 GW in Malaysia worth $8 billion by 2025, Malaysia Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said. The collaboration is outlined in a preliminary agreement between the Malaysian Investment Development Authority and Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (Masdar), Anwar said on Thursday.
3. The European Union (EU) is weighing up the possibility of launching an anti-subsidy investigation into Chinese wind turbines, further intensifying trade tensions between the two regions. This move was triggered by mounting concerns about alleged state support for Chinese manufacturers and the potential distortion of fair competition in the renewable energy sector, according to Financial Times on Friday.
4. The EU's investigation into subsidies for Chinese electric vehicles exported to Europe could do more harm than good, Walter Mertl, BMW's chief financial officer, said on Friday, according to Reuters.
5. Russia and Uzbekistan will continue to build and modernize infrastructure for gas and oil transportation, according to a joint statement Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev adopted following their negotiations in Moscow. Putin said that this is the first time in history that Russia has supplied natural gas to Central Asia.
6. The Shenzhen Government issued a notice today on the issuance of the Shenzhen Carbon Peaking Implementation Plan. The notice mentioned that by 2025, the added value of the new energy industry will reach CNY 100 billion, the added value of the safety, energy-saving and environmental protection industry will exceed CNY 60 billion, and the operating income of the intelligent connected automobile industry will reach CNY 200 billion.
7. Recently, UAE's first utility scale wind project with breakthrough low wind speed Innovation was officially put into operation in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE. The 103.5MW landmark project is invested and operated by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company Masdar, with Power China as the general contractor and Goldwind providing wind turbines. The project is expected to power over 23,000 UAE homes a year. It will displace 120,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.

9. Russia's government said on Friday it had lifted a ban on pipeline diesel exports via ports, removing the bulk of restrictions installed on Sept. 21. The restrictions for gasoline exports are still in place, according to Reuters.
10. An offshore wind power facility in Fujian province uses the spare space at its base to raise fish. It's part of an innovative effort to boost green development in the ocean. The facility, which is called "Guoneng Sharing", is located in Putian and is the world's first integrated design combining deep-sea floating wind power and aquaculture, according to China Daily.
