1. China's largest single-site floating PV power station has been fully connected to the grid in Fuyang, east China's Anhui. The 650,000-kW power station covers a water area equivalent to 1,300 football pitches and can generate 700 million kWh of green energy annually.
2. Chinese battery makers will release their capacities in the next phase, likely cutting the domestic battery capacity utilization rate to 41 percent this year, according to the vice chairman of third-party think tank China EV100.
3. NIO announced the completion of CYVN Holdings' USD 2.2 billion investment in the Chinese electric carmaker today. The Abu Dhabi-based investment vehicle now has 20.1% of NIO's shares. The move comes after CYVN invested more than USD1 billion in NIO in July.

6. QatarEnergy has announced a five-year crude oil supply agreement with Shell International Eastern Trading Company, Singapore (Shell). The agreement stipulates the supply of up to 18 million barrels per annum of Qatar Land and Qatar Marine crude oils to Shell starting January 2024.

8. A 65,000-DWT semi-submersible vessel was delivered on Thur in South China, ready for the 1st mission of an offshore oil rig transport and installation in Saudi Arabia. The 231.1-m-long ship has four 4,000-kW medium-voltage power generators and can travel 20,000 nmi.
9. Daqing Oilfield in NE China's Heilongjiang, the country's largest onshore oilfield, saw its oil and gas production at home and abroad exceed 40 million tonnes of oil equivalent in 2023 for the 21st consecutive year, its operator said Thursday.
