1. Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz said during a visit in SW China's Chongqing on Sunday that he is impressed by German-Chinese enterprises' cooperation in hydrogen tech, and Germany is willing to continue to deepen friendly exchanges with China and push bilateral cooperation to a new level. More than 5,000 German companies are operating in China — which has been Germany's largest trading partner for many years.
2. Some 716,000 electric vehicle charging piles have been added during the January-March period in China, up 13.2% YoY. By the end of March, China's charging pile count had exceeded 9.31 million, according to industry data.

4. A 9,508-meter-deep offshore oil well has been put into operation in China's Enping Oilfield some 200 km southwest of Shenzhen, its developer said Saturday. With a daily output of over 700 tonnes, the well independently designed by China is the deepest of its kind in the country.
