1. The Fuyuan 304-H2 well-completed drilling at a depth of 8,322 meters in 89.92 days in NW China's Tarim Oilfield, setting the fastest drilling record for wells with a vertical depth beyond 8,000 meters in the country.
2. Ford Motor Co. has begun cutting orders from battery suppliers to stem growing electric-vehicle losses, according to Bloomberg citing people familiar with the matter, as it throttles back ambitions in a rapidly decelerating market for plug-in models. Ford continues to maintain partnerships with its battery suppliers, which include South Korea's SK On Co. and LG Energy Solution Ltd., as well as China's CATL.
3. Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance reports that Huawei's AITO M9 has broken the sales record for luxury cars in China with over 80,000 reservations in 136 days since its launch.
4. The Bozhong 19-6 offshore project is in the central part of China's Bohai Sea, with an average water depth of approximately 23m. The field was discovered in 2017 in an area that has produced several other successful producing assets for CNOOC. The main production facilities at Bozhong 19-6 include a wellhead platform, with 10 development wells planned to be commissioned. The project is expected to achieve peak production of approximately 5,800 boed in 2026.

8. China exported a total of 504,000 automobiles in April, bringing the cumulative export figures for the first four months of 2024 to 1.827 million units, representing a growth of 34% YoY and 33.4% YoY, respectively, official data showed Saturday.
9. ADNOC signed a 15-year Heads of LNG agreement with EnBW, one of the largest energy companies in Germany, for the delivery of 0.6 million metric tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas. The LNG will primarily be sourced from ADNOC's lower-carbon Ruwais LNG project, currently under development in Al Ruwais Industrial City, Abu Dhabi. The Ruwais LNG plant is set to be the first LNG export facility in the Middle East and Africa region to run on clean power and will leverage the latest technologies and AI tools to minimize emissions and drive efficiency.
10. China's consumer price index (CPI) went up 0.3% YoY in April, while the producer price index (PPI) declined 2.5% YoY in the same period, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Saturday.
