1. China has built the world's largest and most complete new energy industry chain, leading globally in solar panel output for 16 years straight to provide 70% of such products to the world, the country's top economic planner said Thursday which marks the National Ecology Day.
2. China's largest natural gas storage facility, Hutubi, has injected 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas since March 28 of this year. The highest single-day volume reached a record of 26 million cubic meters. This is expected to ensure natural gas supply for cities along the West-to-East Gas Pipeline this winter.
3. Russia has extended its temporary ban on gasoline exports until the end of 2024 to maintain stability in the market during increased seasonal demand and scheduled refinery repairs, the Russian government announced on Wednesday.
4. China's annual forest and grassland carbon sink is estimated to have exceeded 1.2 billion tonnes so far, ranking first globally, a state forestry and grassland official said Wednesday.

7. Solid-state batteries are becoming a major focus for developers, according to Gaogong Industry Institute, a battery sector information provider. The institute reported that new production capacity for solid-state batteries exceeded 142 gigawatt-hours from January to July, with total investment surpassing 64.4 billion yuan.
8. China produced over 16.24 million vehicles in the first seven months of the year, up 4.5% from a year earlier, data from the NBS showed today. Among them, 5.89 million were NEVs, up 32.9% in the period. July’s total auto production fell 2.4% to over 2.29 million units.
9. Power generation by China's major electricity production enterprises totaled 883.1 billion kWh in July, up 2.5% from a year ago. The output of hydropower and solar power increased 36.2% YoY and 16.4% YoY in the same month, respectively, according to the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday.
10. Iraq has signed initial deals for 13 oil and gas exploration blocks and fields, the country's oil ministry said on Wednesday, adding the agreements could increase output by 750,000 barrels of crude and 850 million standard cubic feet of gas. The deals were awarded in a bidding round held in May, in which Chinese companies dominated.
