1. China and the UAE are good partners on the path of common development, Chinese Premier Li Qiang said on Thursday when holding talks with the UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, calling on the two sides to further tap the cooperation potential, give full play to complementary advantages, expand the scale of economic and trade cooperation, and strengthen cooperation on infrastructure, new energy, digital economy and green economy to help realize each other's sustainable development.
2. The Bonan Block of China's Bohai Oilfield has seen a cumulative output of 100 million tonnes of oil and gas equivalent since it started production in 1989. As the major production area of the Bohai Oilfield, the block boasts 54 offshore platforms and over 1,000 development wells.
3. The US House of Representatives narrowly voted to approve a bill that tightens rules limiting Chinese content in vehicles eligible for US electric vehicle tax credits. The bill redefines the Chinese components that would disqualify vehicles from tax credits. The Alliance for Automotive Innovation, representing major car companies, stated that the bill would reduce the number of qualifying vehicles and require rolling back aggressive emission and EV targets.
4. Chinese carmaker Geely is scouting locations for a plant in Europe but has not committed fully to building up local production, according to Reuters citing executives from the car conglomerate. "It is not 100% yet," Li Chuanhai, vice president of Geely Auto Group, one of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group's brands, said when asked whether the carmaker would build a plant in the region.
5. China welcomes Spanish PM's call to reassess EU tariffs on Chinese EVs, said FM spokeswoman Mao Ning on Thursday, highlighting shared interests in the EV sector's growth. China aims to find a WTO-compliant solution acceptable to both sides and urges the EU to engage in dialogue to resolve trade disputes and strengthen China-EU relations.

8. Inner Mongolia Energy Group has started constructing a large-scale new energy storage power station in the Ulan Buh Desert in north China, to better harness new energy power for grid connection. Designed with a capacity of 605,000 kW, the project is the largest single energy storage power station under construction in the country. The energy storage station can help send a stable supply of electricity from photovoltaic power facilities to the grid.
9. China's northernmost wind power project with a total installed capacity of 100MW is expected to be connected to the grid in Oct in Huma County, northeast China's Heilongjiang, which can provide 230 million kWh of electricity a year, equivalent to cutting CO2 emissions by 188,000 tonnes.
