Tesla's China-made EV sales posted strong year-on-year growth in April, as the company continues to navigate fierce competition in China and overseas markets.
Tesla China's wholesale deliveries totaled 79,478 vehicles in April, up 36% from a year earlier but down 7% from March, according to data released Thursday by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
Despite softer momentum in April, Tesla maintained solid growth in the first four months of the year. Its total wholesale volume for the January-April period reached 292,876 vehicles, marking a 26.7% increase from a year earlier.
The estimated wholesale volume of passenger NEVs in China was 1.22 million units in April, up 7% both year-on-year and month-on-month.
