1. Li Auto's CEO Li Xiang on Tuesday denied that the Chinese NEV maker will raise this year's sales target to 400,000 units, noting that its capacity and sales organization cannot satisfy the rumored figure. Li Auto sold about 130,000 vehicles in the first half, he added.
2. China's photovoltaic module exports reached US$42.36 billion in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 72.1%, according to data from the China Photovoltaic Industry Association on June 26.
3. The sales volume of new energy vehicles in China in May 2023 was 715,000, an MoM increase of 12.6%, a YoY increase of 60.7%, and a penetration rate of 30%. Among them, the sales of new energy passenger cars were 689,000, an MoM increase of 13.2%, and the sales of new energy commercial vehicles were 25,000, an MoM decrease of 3.3% and a YoY increase of 42.4%, according to the China Passenger Car Market Information Association on June 27.
4. On June 28, Liu Yangwei, chairman of Foxconn Technology Group, said that new energy vehicles would be Foxconn's next key sector. Liu said that electric vehicles, digital health and robotics are three future industries supported by three future core technologies, namely artificial intelligence, semiconductors and future communications.

Research carried out by China‘s National Photovoltaic Quality Inspection Center shows that new n-type TOPCon modules are living up to their promise, outperforming the previous generation of p-type PERC products. Data gathered over six months from a fixed-tilt PV system showed that the n-type products produced 3.69% more energy, and also suffered much lower performance losses.
6. On June 27, Sinopec Engineering Group announced that it signed a contract for Saudi Aramco's Amiral project, and Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Incorporation will be responsible for the EPC general contracting execution. The contract value is approximately US$720 million, which is currently the largest refining and chemical engineering general contracting project independently undertaken by Sinopec in Saudi Arabia. The project is jointly invested and constructed by Saudi Aramco and Total Energy.
7. Jinko Solar is happy to see the launch of ISSB's first global sustainability disclosure standard, but it will take time to reach perfection in reporting, Dany Qian, global VP of the Chinese solar panel manufacturer, said at the AMNC23 today.

Deng Jianling, the president of state-owned company China Huaneng, said at the AMNC23 that the company focuses on aspects to achieve the transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy, including developing clean energy with the support of technological innovation and financing from commercial banks and private capital.
9. China and New Zealand pledged to strengthen bilateral economic and trade ties in a joint statement released on Wednesday. The two sides agreed to expand cooperation in e-commerce, services trade, green economy and NEVs.
10. Green hydrogen can play a pivotal role in helping China achieve a carbon emission peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, according to a report launched by the World Economic Forum Tuesday at the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Tianjin.
