1. 30 new energy buses from Zhongtong Bus departed from China yesterday and headed to Bishkek as the final batch to be delivered to Kyrgyzstan, part of China's largest bus order that the central Asian country placed in May last year to address urban traffic pollution, CCTV reported.
2. JinkoSolar has announced a new conversion efficiency record for its 182 mm N-type TOPCon solar module. TÜV SÜD said that it achieved a conversion efficiency of 25.42%. "This further reinforces our confidence that N-type TOPCon technology is the most competitive technology choice for sustainability and, as a result, has substantial growth potential," said the Chinese PV module manufacturer.
3. Chinese firms have formally applied for an anti-dumping investigation into pork imports from the European Union, the state-backed Global Times said, after the bloc's decision to impose anti-subsidy duties on Chinese-made electric vehicles. The move risks escalating tensions in one of the world's key trading relationships after Brussels slapped tariffs of up to 38.1% on electric vehicles made in China to shield its auto industry from competition.

"Consumers are saving up front and over time, with $1,750 savings on gas and maintenance each year and $21,000 saved over the lifetime of a vehicle," U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said.

8. The World Bank has upgraded its economic growth forecast for China this year to 4.8% after stronger exports in the first four months of the year and the impact of recent policy measures. The World Bank adjusted its full-year economic growth forecast for China from a 4.5% prediction last December, it said in a report released today.
9. More than 2.41 million vehicles were sold in China in May, up 1.5% from a year ago, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. Some 955,000 were NEVs, a 33% gain. In the five months ended May 31, auto sales in the country climbed 8.3% to 11.5 million units.
10. China's market regulator said on Friday that Tesla would fix software in 5,836 imported Model 3, Model S and Model X cars from July, citing safety issues. The action is described as a product recall under Chinese regulations, the regulator said. It was not immediately clear if drivers might need, or would be eligible, to return vehicles to Tesla for refunds.
