1. On May 15, according to the data of National Energy Administration of China, in April, the electricity consumption of China's whole society was 690.1 billion kwh, up 8.3% YoY. From January to April, the total electricity consumption of the whole society was 2,810.3 billion kwh, up 4.7% YoY.
2. According to data from State Grid, by the end of 2022, the installed capacity of clean energy power generation accounted for 49.6% of the total scale in China. The newly installed capacity of wind power and photovoltaic was 125 million kW, setting a record high.
3. In the first quarter of 2023, China's vehicle exports reached 1.069 million, up 58.1% YoY, surpassing 1.047 million vehicles of Japan, becoming the country with the largest car exports in the world.
4. According to data from National Energy Administration of China, key components such as photovoltaic modules and wind turbines produced in China account for 70% of the global market. At the same time, China reduced carbon emissions by a total of 2.83 billion tons in 2022, accounting for about 41% of the global carbon emission reductions converted from renewable energy in the same period.

6. The Unit 4 of Dubai Hassyan power plant was connected to grid Mon, marking the Middle East's 1st clean coal power plant construction draws to end. The China-built project is expected to offer 20% of Dubai's total power supply once all 4 units start commercial operation in H2 2023.

On May 16, Toyota China officially announced that United Fuel Cell System R&D, jointly established by SinoHytec, Toyota and four other automakers, cooperated with Toyota SinoHytec Fuel Cell to launch the third-generation high-power hydrogen fuel cell system: TL Power 150. Its rated power reaches 150kW, which can meet the power needs of intercity buses and heavy trucks.
9. Recently, China's first large-scale pumped storage AI data analysis platform was put into application in Guangzhou, marking the transition from manual management to online intelligent management of a quarter of pumped storage equipments in operation in China.
10. Researchers at China's Henan University have fabricated a perovskite solar cell based on a carbon electrode that reportedly achieves a power conversion efficiency of 20.8% while providing enhanced stability.
