1. China's largest offshore oil production base Bohai Sea oil field has seen its cumulative crude oil output exceed 500 million tonnes since its establishment in 1965, said the Tianjin branch of CNOOC on Wednesday.
2. China's largest electrochemical energy storage power station with a capacity of 300 MW/600 MWh has been connected to the grid in E China's Anhui. Boasting a single-charge electricity storage of 600,000 kWh, it will support east China's peak power demand in summer.
3. The Chinese photovoltaic giant Longi intends to open its first plant in Europe in Germany, said Zhenguo Li, the founder, and president of the company, during an interview with Handelsblatt. The final decision on establishment should be taken in six months.
4. The world's first 16-MW offshore wind turbine began installation on Sat in Pingtan, SE China's Fujian, which will be the largest of its kind in the country after being connected to the grid. The 152-meter-tall wind turbine can generate 34.2 kWh of electricity in one rotation.
5. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Dabar Hydropower Plant, which will be built by China Gezhouba Group, was held Friday in the entity Republika Srpska (RS) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). The project, with an installed capacity of 159.15 MW and a total investment of 244 million euros ($266.8 million), is the largest hydropower project undertaken by Chinese enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe.
6. Tech-intensive green products, supportive policy measures and private companies' expansion in emerging markets will effectively drive the exports of China's foreign trade powerhouses in the second half of this year, according to government officials and market watchers. Shanghai, Beijing and the provinces of Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shandong — the major export-oriented powerhouses in the country — each saw their total import and export values exceed 1 trillion yuan ($139.29 billion) in the first five months of this year. All of them maintained growth during this period, data from the General Administration of Customs showed.
7. According to customs statistics, in the first five months of this year, the export value of solar batteries, lithium batteries, and new energy vehicles in Jiangsu Province was 44.84 billion yuan, 39.15 billion yuan, and 3.9 billion yuan, an increase of 8%, 64.3%, and 541.6% respectively.
8. Kela photovoltaic power station, the world's largest integrated hydro-solar power station, with an installed capacity of 1 mln kW, started generation Sun in SW China's Sichuan at the highest altitude of its kind of 4,600 m, expected to generate 2 bln kWh of electricity yearly.
9. Chinese HJT solar module and cell manufacturer Huasun has secured a 2.02 GW PV panel order from state-owned Power China. Huasun will supply its HJT Himalaya G12-132 panels for 26 solar projects that Power China is building in Yunnan province. The modules have a power conversion efficiency of 23.5% and an output of 730 W.
10. Chinese solar silicon wafer manufacturer LONGI, plans to raise as much as 20 billion yuan (US$2.8 billion) via the sale of global depository receipts (GDRs) in Switzerland, joining a growing list of companies that are diversifying funding sources away from US markets.
