1. The 3 GW wind farm in North China is now fully operational. DEC supplied 369 wind turbines to this project. The wind farm is slated to deliver 17,520 GWh of clean power a year, equivalent to cutting standard coal consumption by 5.26 mln tons and CO2 emissions by 9.47 mln tons.
2. The daily gas transmission volume of PipeChina has recently surpassed 900 million cubic meters, reaching a new record high. The West-East Gas Pipeline System has transported 1.85 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Fujian and over 6.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Hubei in the current year, which has set new records for both regions.
3. China's National Bureau of Statistics recently reported that in November, the country produced 19.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas, marking a 5.3% YoY increase, with a daily output of 660 million cubic meters. Additionally, China imported 10.95 million tons of natural gas, up 6.1% YoY. Between January and November 2023, China produced 209.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas, up 6.0% YoY, and imported 107.4 million tons of natural gas, up 8.5% YoY.
4. According to China's National Bureau of Statistics, China produced 17.2 million tons of crude oil in November, up 2.6% YoY, with an average daily output of 573,000 tons. Additionally, the country imported 42.45 million tons of crude oil in November, representing a 9.2% YoY decrease. From Jan. to Nov. 2023, China produced 191.25 million tons of crude oil, up 1.8% YoY. During the same period, the country imported 515.65 million tons of crude oil, which is a 12.1% YoY increase.
5. China's power generation in November reached 731 billion kWh, up 8.4% YoY, with an average daily power generation of 24.37 billion kWh. From Jan. to Nov. 2023, China's power generation reached 8,073.2 billion kWh, up 4.8% YoY. In November, China's thermal power increased by 6.3%, hydropower increased by 5.4%, nuclear power decreased by 2.4%, wind power increased by 26.6%, and solar power increased by 35.4%, according to China's National Bureau of Statistics.
6. China's monocrystalline PERC M10 and G12 cell prices extended losses this week, falling 4.54% and 16.69% to $0.0484/W and $0.0584/W respectively, while TOPCon M10 cells held steady at $0.0610/W, according to PV magazine.
7. Wang Bohua, honorary chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, recently stated at the 2023 Photovoltaic Industry Annual Conference that from Jan. to Oct. this year, China's newly installed photovoltaic capacity was 142.56 GW, up 145% YoY, setting a record high. Global investment in clean energy has exceeded fossil energy for eight consecutive years. Solar energy investment is expected to reach US$382 billion in 2023, and oil investment will reach US$371 billion, marking that investment in solar energy will exceed that in oil for the first time in history.
8. According to Shu Jueting, the spokesperson of China's Ministry of Commerce, several German auto companies have recently shown increased interest in investing in research and development of new energy vehicles in China. This indicates their confidence in the Chinese market. Chinese automobile companies have also been increasing their investments and operations in Germany and other European countries.
9. China's electricity consumption rose 6.3% to over 8.36 trillion kWh in the first 11 months of the year from a year earlier, data from the National Energy Administration showed today. In November, the figure rose 11.6 percent to 763 billion kWh from the same period last year.
10. Chinese solar module maker Akcome New Energy Technology plans to build a new heterojunction solar battery plant to meet the surging demand. The new plant, which will have an annual production capacity of 4.6 GWh of high-efficiency PV batteries using HJT and fixed asset investment of CNY2.1 billion (USD295.3 million), will be built in SE China's Ganzhou, the Zhangjiagang-based company announced late yesterday.
