1. The ±800-kV UHVDC power transmission project, stretching from SW China's Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture to E China's Suzhou, has become the country's first such project to deliver over 400 billion kWh of electricity, equivalent to cutting CO2 emissions by 320 million tonnes.
2. Shares in Xiong An New Power Technology, Sichuan Shudao Equipment and Technology and other Chinese hydrogen energy firms surged today after the government of the southwestern province of Sichuan said it will look into exempting hydrogen-powered vehicles from paying toll fees on expressways, Sichuan Daily reported.
