1. According to CNOOC, Guanlan, China's first deep-sea floating wind power platform, successfully connected to the power grid in Wenchang oil field in Hainan, marking new progress in providing green power for use in offshore oil production.
2. On May 22, according to Sri Lanka’s President Office, Chinese petroleum giant Sinopec signed an agreement with Sri Lanka in Colombo. Negotiations have been completed with Sinopec Fuel Oil Lanka Ltd and its parent company in China and Singapore for a long-term contract on important storage, distribution and sale of petroleum products in the island nation.
3. On May 23, China's Guizhou Provincial Energy Bureau stated that new energy power generation companies are encouraged to sign medium and long term agreements with energy storage companies for five years or more.
4. Recently, Ganfeng Lithium stated that its second-generation hybrid solid-state lithium battery uses metallic lithium as the negative electrode, and its energy density can reach more than 400Wh/Kg. The energy density of its first-generation solid-state battery can reach more than 260Wh/kg. The current design capacity of the first-generation solid-state battery is 4GWh/year, and its production capacity is climbing.
5. Recently, according to the Xinjiang Bureau of Statistics, from January to April 2023, the investment in wind power and photovoltaic power generation projects in Xinjiang increased by 5.0 times year-on-year.
6. China Development Bank set up a CNY10 billion (USD1.43 billion) special loan to deepen the China-Central Asia cooperation and support projects in fields of economy, trade, investment, transportation, agriculture, energy, resources, and infrastructure, Xinhua reported yesterday.
7. On May 22, according to China National Nuclear Power, as of April 30, the company's total new energy power generation was 6.61 billion kWh, up 67.58% YoY. Among them, photovoltaic power generation was 3.303 billion kwh, up 56.24% YoY; wind power generation was 3.307 billion kwh, up 80.69% YoY.
8. Recently, the front power of the 210-66 HJT double-glass module independently developed by Tongwei reached 732.6W. It is the third time that Tongwei has set a power record since this year.
9. Tesla's China-made Model3 and ModelY electric cars are now on sale in Canada, South China Morning Post reported today, citing the US EV maker's website. This confirms that Tesla has started shipping cars from its Shanghai gigafactory to North America.
