1. The Baihetan-Zhejiang 800-kV UHV direct current power transmission project officially started operation Fri after finishing the 168-hr trial operation of its high voltage side valve hall, adding 400 kV of transmission capacity to the project with 2,121-km-long transmission lines.
2. Recently, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in Paris. Li pointed out that China, France and Europe should further strengthen cooperation in the areas of nuclear energy, aviation, aerospace, and other emerging areas, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win-win for the three sides.
3. China's first independently-developed ultra-deepwater gas field Shenhai Yihao, or Deep Sea No. 1, had produced over 5 billion m3 of natural gas as of its 2nd anniversary on Sunday. The gas field project will boost its annual output by 50% after the 2nd phase is completed.
4. Premier Li Qiang held talks with French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne in Paris recently. China General Nuclear Power Group and the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission(CEA) signed the Amendment to the CGN-CEA Nuclear Research and Technology Cooperation Agreement.
5. Liuhua 11-1 platform, Asia's highest offshore platform for oil and gas production with a height of over 370 meters, has begun the assembly of its upper blocks in Zhuhai, S China's Guangdong which will be completed in 2024. The platform will serve in an oilfield in South China Sea.
6. Wudongde Hydropower Station located in Jinsha River, the world's 7th-largest and China's 4th-largest hydropower station, has reached a cumulative power generation of 100 billion kwh recently, which is about 90% of the electricity consumption of Guangzhou City in 2022 (111.876 bln kwh), equivalent to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 82.8 million tons.
7. China is ready to build its ties with Barbados into a relationship between developing countries that sets an example of unity, coordination and mutual benefits, Premier Li Qiang said on Sunday when meeting with visiting Barbados' Prime Minister Mia Mottley. Barbados is ready to strengthen cooperation with China in areas such as agriculture, energy, infrastructure and poverty alleviation, Mottley said.
8. The Chinese Module Marker (CMM), OPIS' benchmark assessment for modules from China, dived to $0.173 per W, falling for a fourth week running to its lowest value ever according to OPIS data. The 11.73% week-on-week plunge is also record-breaking in being CMM’s largest percentage drop ever.
9. On June 25, China's first high-pressure pure hydrogen pipeline test was successful at the Pipeline Fracture Control Test Site of PipeChina, which will provide technical support for China to realize large-scale, low-cost, and long-distance pure hydrogen transportation. The test is the third Pipeline Fracture Control Test Site after the United Kingdom and Italy.
10. Recently, the 1 million sodium electric new energy vehicle project invested and built by Shaanxi Huaihai Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd. was completed and put into production in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province. The total investment of the project is 1.5 billion yuan, and it is the only production base of sodium electric new energy mini-vehicles in the northwest of China.
